What is the Rubenfeld Synergy Method®?Over the past 60 years the Rubenfeld Synergy Method® (RSM), created by the late Ilana Rubenfeld, has helped clients get in touch with their bodies to make space for fresh perspectives, deeper knowledge, and positive change. Through a combination of talk and light touch, this healing modality works directly with the body, mind, emotions and spirit in conversation with each other. Certified Rubenfeld Synergists are highly trained in respectful touch, emotional groundedness, and responsive, compassionate listening. By exploring the Bodymind in a safe, supportive environment, clients discover new ways of feeling, thinking and living in their bodies.
A typical one-hour RSM session begins with some conversation between Charlotte and the client about the client's needs, hopes, and goals. In most sessions, the client then sits or lies down, fully clothed, on a massage table. At the client's invitation, Charlotte gently touches the client, encouraging the client to become aware of and describe what they are experiencing in their body. Charlotte facilitates the process by asking questions, allowing silences, and 'listening' to the client's body and experiences.
